The boys varsity basketball team and the varsity basketball cheer team spent the night celebrating their seniors as the season begins to wrap up. Both teams were glad to spend treasured time with their seniors before they move away to start their futures.

The teams were able to walk away from the court satisfied, with the final score of 76-57 against Astronaut high school.

Senior Jaden Smith reflected back on the night gratefully, commenting on how he felt the crowd’s  encouragement.

“It was great seeing my family and friends supporting me on my senior night,” Smith said.

The seniors on the cheer team were also thankful for the love and support they received from the rest of the team, as well as their friends and family.

“It’s a little sad to think that this is my last time cheering, but I had a blast and wouldn’t trade it for the world. It was a really fun time,” Lauren LeBeau said.

Although these seniors are sad to be leaving their teammates behind, they are looking forward to all the new memories they will make in the years to come.
