Holy Trinity basketball against Melbourne Central Catholic has always been a battle. The rivalry between the two private schools in the area has gone way back, especially when it comes to basketball. Going to this annual game always has a fun, but competitive atmosphere where people not even from these two schools show up, just to be there for this important game. It is one of the only times that our gymnasium is full. Recently, boys varsity basketball won against MCC with flying colors. The difference was about twenty points. Senior Seth Coleman explained how it’s always a good feeling to beat the famous hometown rival.

Along with this game being extremely important in a traditional sense, seniors Seth Coleman and Dru Nickson passed a large mile-marker of a thousand career points within their time playing basketball at HT. Coleman said that all of his friends and family have continued to motivate him to finally reach a thousand career points.
