Friday, October 23, the HT Tigers football team played their homecoming game and defeated the Titusville Terriers with a final score of 0-48. With so few players on the team, many veteran members have had to step into positions on the opposite lines from their primary positions.

Leading the defense, senior James Blackstrain, who is primarily a wide receiver,  took a fumble from the Terriers 20 yards to the endzone to score a touchdown for the Tigers. Later in the game, Blackstrain caught a punt from the Terriers and ran it almost 20 yards for another touchdown. Senior James Linnabary, who is primarily a kicker, made an interception at the Terriers’ 25-yard line.

For the offensive line, junior quarterback Davin Wydner led the Tigers through strong drives. Senior Carlos Estronza was on the receiving end of multiple plays easily resulting in a touchdown. Linnabary also kicked a 42-yard field goal to add to the Tigers’ lead.

With their second win under their belt, the Tigers will go to Cocoa Beach to play the Minutemen this Friday, October 30th.
