On Tuesday, January 27, the boys varsity soccer team went on to win their ninth consecutive district championship. Out playing the Edgewood Red Wolves with a score of 4-1, they secured their spot as first in the region.
The team’s four goals were scored by senior Grady Houston, junior Cody Seitz, and sophomores Luke Daigler and Thomas Greene.
Maintaining the top seed in the region allows them to play all of their regional games at Catherine Ford Field. This is a huge advantage for the team, allowing them to play comfortably and consistently on their home turf, but if the boys come up short in the next game, their season will come to an abrupt end.
The team will play their next regional game on Tuesday, February 10, versus The Benjamin School.
With high hopes to keep advancing all the way to the state tournament, the boys are putting in a 100% work ethic and pushing each other to be the best version of themselves.
The journey isn’t finished yet and gold is on the line with every game.
